with so much emphasis on family during the holiday season it got me thinking about me and bobby and how utterly different we really are. take this past weekend for example. we wnet to see the new movie filmed in pittsburgh. i liked it. he hated it. saturday he spent the afternoon at the gun show and i was on my bike. sunday i ate fish tacos he had steak. he's upstairs paying the bills, i'm downstairs buying online. but somehow it works. and i'm so thankful it does.
i've been spending quite a bit of time in the pool over the past few weeks-enough to know when the old guy doing pull buoy backstroke and the indian kid who wears holey boxers and the wanna be super star show off are doing their laps. the chlorine induced party is partly due to a heel that wont cooperate and partly due to the fact that i more resemble a drowning cat than anything amphibian like in aquatic situations... and wouldnt you know betterment (is that a word?) is beginning to show. i swam my fastest 100 ever. it hasnt quite translated to longer distances - say of an olympic nature- but patience.. right?
work has been work. nuf said. BUT i will give it props for the mere fact that they are sending me to climb kilimanjaro in a month. sweet.
a super special thanks for my adopted big sister who sends me her hand me down clothes :) and a begrudged sigh as i await yet another package in the mail...perhaps i need to lessen my trash talking or learn to keep my mouth shut all together.. (not likely)
so i was talking to my 98 year old grandpa today. his first question to me. not "hows work" or "hows bobby".. its "are you expecting anything?" lovely. and btw the answer is NO. ha.

happy holidays to my creepy internet friends.

yes....that very anticipated package is creeping along in the mail. What is up with the heel? and, again, when do I get to work for your company? you get to go everywhere! lucky!!!! (and ha ha to Bobby as I am paying bills now as well...Dave is watching TV)
You're my adopted big sister and I don't get hand me downs from you...I want to turn you in for a newer model.
How bad is it that when you said indian kid the first thought that ran through my mind is dot or feather?
Missed you at Thanksgiving tonight. Slight turkey catastrophe led to an angry Jimmy making a late run to Boston Market :) It was all good.
Happy T-day!
Yep, Scott and I are the same way and it's all good!
Glad to hear about your 100! Woohoo!
happy thanksgiving! enjoy the swimming ;-) and the shopping!
So do you get other hand me downs from older women on the internet? Tell Bri I will trade her some bike clothing if she gives me a new hamstring tendon, I am patient, maybe by January? :)
Your 100 time is smokin fast, cant wait to swim with you in sunny ( hopefully) tucson! Its the 1 breath 25's i can do without.
Hope you had a great time in Pittsburgh!
