training.. huh?

the past few weeks have really flown by. i've been traveling quite a bit for work and have been lucky to visit some great places. the grove park inn asheville, new york city (ok that one was a disaster) and this place - ranchos palos verdes CA. - just a stones throw from the most heavily strip malled area i have ever seen. really. not even orlando can match this place.

i was out there to work. and while the place was gorgeous, we did work. from 8 am till well past midnight. i did manage to squeeze in a few swims here:


an out door 25 m pool. saltwater. nice.

one afternoon i snuck away to the beach. just me, a book and a nice beverage. well needed after some ridiculous drama. who else has this much drama at their job. really- its worse than days of our lives- the stories i could tell would knock your socks off:





i was thrilled to escape a week long sequester and head to knoxville.

i did get some good news on sunday. i was accepted on the elite tri team for 2011. guess that should up my motivation to train or something.. ha.
