i did order the TRX system (google it) and i'm pretty excited about that. i'm thinking of making a switch this year (see maybe i AM ready but just lagging a bit..) from golds (ie the warmest pool this side of the Mississippi that is often swarming with old people and swim classes...) to the morrisville aquatic center. its cheaper and i THINK they always have 2 lanes open for swimming.. need to check on that.. BUT during the summer that would mean swimming outside.. which i think is fantastic.. (the outside part, not the swimming..) but they also have a small gym should i need the treadmill or more traditional weights thru the year.. and while the kid quota might be on the high side, i do believe they are all tethered to the shallow end...
on a more humorous note - at least in my mind... we went to bonefish for dinner last night and had left 2 pieces of pecan pie sitting on the counter to serve as dessert (home made pie!).. anyway upon returning home.. i discovered the pie tin and foil on the floor, both of which had been licked so clean that i think a layer of aluminum might have been taken off as well.... buglers? nope. once again its our (not so much anymore) favorite canine at her best. if we add up the things she has eaten in the last 5 days, the list might look something like this : 2 gu wrappers, 1 full chocolate gu, one bag of chocolate chip biscotti (though she did leave the paper bag), 1/4 pecan pie, a banana (my fault for dropping it on the floor) but who knew a 65 pound dog could have the cat like reflexes to grab it and swallow it whole before the words "oh shit" could even form on my lips... and yet she has not been sick. must be her iron stomach.

I can find inspiration reading the magazines (and blogs). Good luck!
I think winter makes me incredibly sheepish and doubtful that I will ever run swim or ride outside at a pace that seems fast. Lots of doubts but we will shake that out in Tucson:)
Beth didn't tell you about how Roxy ate a Hershey chocolate bar on our way home from SC did she? Dogs sure know how to find food!
