ramblings

not that i normally speak in coherent sentences anyway. but just a few things that have been tumbling around in the noggin lately.

the weather has turned cool. well when 85 is the high temp for the day that is cool. its crisp out (whatever that really means). and perfect for football. PERFECT.

a body in motion tends to stay in motion and a body that sits down has a really hard time getting up. especially on a day like to day. when you are on your back deck at lunchtime. and you think how torturous life is that you have to go back and sit at your desk for four hours. smokey had the right idea and refused to come in side.

sometimes i wish i had friends with lives like those on soap operas... oh your dad has his memory erased and put on a DVD? oh your grandmother slept with your boyfriend? oh you just flew down to the Dominican republic on a moments notice - gee good thing your kids were visiting their aunt in europe. oh you switched your secret surrogate baby with your husbands real baby that he doesn't know about?

did i mention its foot ball season?

i've found it much easier to just not fold sheets. yes, they take up a bit more room but, well, its just such a pain!

training is going well. its nice to have a sort of medium chunk of time between races. its hard to believe life before my TT bike. i love it so much. though i will say once Oct rolls around there will be much partying in the streets!

three years later my wedding dress is still in the bag that one of my BMs put it in that night... i'm now afraid to open it up and see what a wine spill looks like after 1000 days..

when i was home this weekend, my niece told me her favorite meal is chocolate and salad. that girl has the right idea. i also beat everyone at hide n seek AND puzzle putting together AND hyper jump. F-triathlon. my talents lie elsewhere!

i spent the morning making a sign at work today. ESPN is at the state game tonight and there is a deep seeded need to get on TV. the sign just said "ESPN backs the pack". though it should have said:

Eat it
Spurrier!
Nothing stops the
Pack!

ahhh the creative talents of today's workforce!

and i love this from emily: Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There were no Internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.
